About Design School

Design School is an initiative of codetutor.com.ng and is funded by German Development Cooperation (GIZ) through the Nigerian-German Centre for Jobs, Migration and Re-Integration. The goal of the program is to equip young people with design skills, soft skills and entrepreneurship and also connect them with economic opportunities while also helping businesses have access to skilled talent.

Program Overview

The Design School is an intensive 8 weeks training program which commenced on 10th August, and is scheduled to end on the 2nd of October, 2020. The program features 4 key skill areas comprising of specialized training in graphics design, product design, entrepreneurship & soft skills needed to thrive in the 21st century workplace.

  • Specialized training in Graphics Design using Canva, Adobe Photoshop & Ilustrator.
  • Specialised training in Product Design using Figma.
  • Entrepreneurship & Freelancing training
  • Soft skills including Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Time Management and other critical skills that are needed to thrive in the 21st Century.

Core Skills

Participants will equipping professional instructors 

Professional Graphics Design with Adobe Photoshop & Canva.

Product Design / User Interface & User Experience Design using Web-based Figma.

GIZ will be covering the intern stipend for the first month meaning, business owners can hire the interns for free without any cost in the first month. All the participants within the program have been properly equipped with the right skills to move your business forward.
